PREDATOR CALLING BIOGRAPHY
I called my first coyote in 1959. 50 years ago. Seems like it
sometimes. I have since called coyotes in 22 states and Mexico.
Operated a coyote removal service. Appeared in 26 magazine articles
as author or subject. Wrote the chapter “Coyote Communication” for
Gerry’s book “Predator Calling with Gerry Blair”, Produced a DVD “Up
Close and Personal” with my son Tyler. Have won 70 plus trophies and
awards for stage and field competitions with my son Tyler. Make and
sell custom “Higgins Howlers” with my son Tyler. Own and operate
PredatorProfessionals Forum. Belong to 5 predator calling clubs.
Presently serve Phoenix Varmint Callers Inc. as president.
Presently serve Arizona Predator Callers as program director.
Treasured memories include:
Watching my 4 year old son call a coyote in and shoot it with a
Chipmunk and a Stinger. Calling coyotes or shooting video with Gerry
Blair, Cal Taylor, Scott Huber, Quinton Wagoner, Major Boddiker,
Gerald Stewart, Murry Burnham, Gary Clevenger, Scott Francom, Byron
South, Todd Woodall, Jeff Thomason, Leonard Bosinski, Jay Nistetter,
Dan Carey, Tim Behle, Vic Carlson, Brent Saxton, J.D. Piatt, Tom
Bechtel, Sheri Baity, Brent Rueb, and Les (is more) Johnson. Calling
GPS collared coyotes in a federal study area with Dr. Jaeger.
Guiding Editor Paul Wait and South African Lochi Lochner on the
first Predator Masters Hunt. Each and every one of the dozens of
local, state and national events that I have attended and competed
in and the many good friends I have made along the way, including
you Mark Zepp. Receiving the Sportsman of the Year Award from
Arizona Predator Callers for 2009.
